Jaipal and I stood on a stage in front of 350 people as the keynote speakers at the New Heights Big Hearted Gala and shared the struggles and victories of our family's autism journey. I felt every, "He can't. He won't," statement vanish into thin air. It felt as though a very important chapter of our lives was closing, not because we are done learning, but rather, because we have learned all the soul lessons required of us during that chapter of our lives. We now begin a new chapter, ready to learn more soul lessons. If soul power could be seen in a picture... here it is.

It was big moment for our family and for our soul journey.  The most emotional moment for me was watching my son sign Noble Victory for a customer. It was like we had come full circle -- from a place of fear and uncertainty to a place of power and courage. I am so proud of you, my son, for showing the world the true voice of autism. ​

A true "Noble Victory" - watching my son read the book inspired by him. Whether I sell 1 book or 1 million books, the most important thing to me is that I have made a difference in the life of 1 person with autism or helped someone learn more about autism so they may positively change their community and, in turn, this world. This is my soul journey and my success is measured by what I do to make this world a better place.

I looked over at him and could not believe that the little boy who used to hold my hand and rock with excitement as he saw our garage door open and close was suddenly so grown up and mature. I said to him with tear-filled eyes that I hope I had been a good mother to him - a perfect mother. He smiled,  leaned over and put his head on my shoulder. Then he said to me, "Mom you've always been a perfect mother, even before you had me, you just did it in a different way." I was speechless. My son teaches me every day that I am not the one helping him navigate his spiritual journey, rather he is the one that is helping me. Thank you my son for being my teacher.
